Donald Trump doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to women. In fact, Cosmopolitan compiled a list of 25 offensive comments the former president had made about them. From bragging about not being able to control himself around attractive ladies to, on the flipside, suggesting supposedly ugly women should be cast out of society and sent to live under a bridge, Trump has never been shy about making his opinions clear.
In particular, the former reality star has an issue with female politicians. He suggested Hillary Clinton wasn’t fit to run the country because she couldn’t “satisfy her husband,” while Kamala Harris, his ultimately successful opponent’s running mate, was a “monster” who got “destroyed” during a debate with Mike Pence. Trump went on, “She was terrible. I don’t think you could get worse. And totally unlikeable” (via NPR). As for congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, he’s got some special leftover ire for her.

He added, “You want to know why? Because AOC has a base, just like me.” The comments were received with “nervous laughter,” rather than raucous cheers and applause as they might have been at a Trump rally. The politician was rallying to be re-elected at the time, and reportedly warned those gathered at the closed door meeting that if they wanted to stay in business they’d better vote for him. It came shortly after the Democrats regained control of the House of Representatives, bringing with them “failed geek” Ocasio-Cortez’s well-received Green New Deal.
